• Sundher played his minor hockey for the Burnaby Winter Club. He captained the 2007 BWC Bantam AAA team to a Western Canadian championship and was named the MVP in the gold medal game as well as the tournament’s Top Forward. He had 77 goals and 173 points and added 196 penalty minutes in 2006-07.

• He was the winner of the B.C. Minor Hockey Player Achievement Award – given annually to a B.C. Amateur Hockey Association player who shows exceptional sportsmanship, leadership, hockey skill, and community involvement. Past winners include NHL forward Gilbert Brule from Columbus (co-winner 2002) and Washington Capitals defenseman Karl Alzner from (2003).
