• Thrun ranked third among defensemen on the USA Hockey National Team Development Program’s Under-18 team with 8-29—37 in 62 games in 2018-19.

• A two-time medalist internationally, Thrun was a member of Team USA’s gold medal-winning entry at the 2017 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge and helped his country earn bronze at the 2019 Under-18 World Championship.

• Thrun, who didn’t start playing hockey until he was about seven years old, hails from Southborough, Mass. – also the hometown of two-time Stanley Cup champion Doug Brown (1997 and 1998 w/ DET).

• Thrun, who has committed to Harvard University for the 2019-20 season, models his style of play after Blackhawks defenseman Duncan Keith.
