• Giles recorded 11-11—22 in 62 games with the U.S. National Under-18 Team in 2017-18, including 2-4—6 in 26 USHL contests.

• Growing up in Chevy Chase, Md., Giles credits his grandmother Shannon Hobbs for his love of hockey after trips with her to the outdoor rink gave him the opportunity to push a cone around the ice to learn how to skate.

• His father, Tom Giles, played collegiate football for the University of Delaware.

• Has committed to Boston College for the 2018-19 season.

• Models his style of play after Sharks forward Joe Thornton.
