• Gravel recorded a 20-11-5 record in 39 appearances with the Mooseheads during the 2017-18 regular season (3.38 GAA, .890 SV%). He also went 4-4 in eight postseason appearances (2.70 GAA, .917 SV%, 1 SO), including earning a series-clinching shutout in Game 5 of the First Round against Baie-Comeau.

• He was named to the QMJHL All-Rookie Team in 2016-17, posting a 17-24-5 record in 50 appearances with Halifax (3.36 GAA, .984 SV%, 1 SO). His 17 wins ranked second among QMJHL rookie goaltenders, trailing only Alex D'Orio of the Saint John Sea Dogs (19).

• His father, Francois Gravel, was also a goaltender who was drafted 58th overall by the Montreal Canadiens in 1987 and represented France at the 1998 Olympic Winter Games. Alexis was born in Germany and spent six years in Italy while his father played professional hockey in Europe.
