• Ouellet was named to the QMJHL All-Rookie Team after leading Montreal rookie defensemen in scoring with 16 points in 2009-10 and represented Canada at the 2010 Ivan Hlinka Memorial.
• He got his start in hockey in Europe where his father, Robert, played professionally before moving to Quebec at the age of 10. His father also competed for France at the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano, Japan and three World Championships.
