• Nantel was Rouyn-Noranda’s second-highest scoring rookie with 34 points (14-20—34) and skated in all 68 of the team’s games during his first full Quebec Major Junior Hockey League season in 2013-14. The Huskies advanced to the second round of the playoffs, with Nantel contributing four assists in nine contests.

• Nantel was an assistant captain and led the Laval-Montreal Rousseau Royal in scoring with 40 points (19-21—40) in 36 regular season games in 2012-13. He tallied 17 points (6-11—17) in 17 playoff contests, earning most valuable player honors and propelling his team to the 2013 Telus Cup. Nantel added 10 points (5-5—10) at the Midget AAA national championship, including the game-winning goal in Laval-Montreal’s 3-2 win over the Saskatoon Contacts in the bronze medal game.

• He was one of three midget players on Team Quebec’s fourth-place squad at the 2013 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge.
