• In 2013-14, Donato tallied 78 points (37-41—78) in 30 games with Dexter School. In his past three seasons with the Brookline, Mass. Prep school, Donato has registered 174 points (80-94—174) in 83 contests. He also scored one goal in four games with the U.S. Under-18 team at the Four Nations Tournament.

• Donato has also skated with the Cape Cod Whalers in each of the past three seasons, finishing the 2013-14 campaign with 18 points (8-9—17) in nine games with the club’s under-18 squad.

• His father, Ted, recorded 347 points (150-197—347) in 795 career NHL games with the Boston Bruins, New York Islanders, Ottawa Senators, Anaheim Ducks, Dallas Stars, Los Angeles Kings, St. Louis Blues and New York Rangers. He just completed his 10th season as head coach of Harvard University’s men’s ice hockey team.

• In 2010-11, Donato suffered a broken femur which caused him to take an entire year away from sports.
