• When his parents presented Ho-Sang a tennis racquet as a toddler, he’d put the ball on the ground, take the racquet and stickhandle. According to his father: “When he got a little older, he said, ‘Dad, I like tennis, but I’m going to be a hockey player.”

• While playing summer hockey with Steve Larmer’s son at a young age, Larmer mentioned that Ho-Sang reminded him of former teammate Denis Savard. Not familiar with Savard’s career, Ho-Sang did some research, watched highlights on the internet and has become a big fan.

• Former Chicago Blackhawks forward Steve Larmer once approached Ho-Sang after a game. Impressed with his play, Larmer mentioned that Ho-Sang reminded him of former teammate Denis Savard. Ho-Sang was not familiar with Savard’s career, so he did some research, watched highlights on the internet and has become a big fan of the Hall of Famer.
