• In his second year in the QMJHL, Fournier recorded 28 points (3-25-28) from the blueline for the Oceanic in 66 games and participated in the 2009 Memorial Cup with Rimouski as the host team.

• He played on his first hockey team in his hometown for the St-Fabien Senators and wears the number 14 because it was the very first hockey number he had.

• A fan of Joe Sakic growing up, he would invite Sidney Crosby, Alex Ovechkin and Mario Lemieux to dinner if he got the chance – “they are three hockey stars and good examples for all young hockey players”.
