• In 2017-18, his first QMJHL campaign, Khovanov registered 9-19—28 in the regular season (29 GP) and 3-4—7 in the playoffs (12 GP). His seven points in the postseason led all Moncton rookies.

• Khovanov established a franchise record for fastest goal to begin an overtime period on Feb. 3, 2018, scoring 11 seconds into the extra frame against Charlottetown.

• A native of Saratov, Russia, Khovanov represented Kazan’s junior team at the MHL All-Star Game in 2016-17, a season in which he produced 8-14—22 in 29 games.

• He was a member of Russia’s bronze medal-winning entry at the 2016 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge (5-2—7 in 5 GP).

• Models his style of play after Maple Leafs forward Auston Matthews.
