• Gruden ranked fourth on the U.S. National Under-18 Team in 2017-18 with 28-32—60 in 61 games, including 15-19—34 in 25 USHL contests.

• He helped Team USA earn a silver medal at the 2018 Under-18 World Championship (0-4—4 in 7 GP) and represented his country at the 2016 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge (0-1—1 in 5 GP).

• His father, John Gruden, was a defenseman drafted 168th overall by the Bruins in 1990 and skated in 92 career NHL games with the Bruins, Senators and Capitals. He is currently the head coach of the Hamilton Bulldogs, who captured the OHL championship in 2017-18.

• Has committed to Miami University (Ohio) for the 2018-19 season.
