• McShane finished second on the Generals in 2017-18 with 20-45—65 in 67 games, including a five-assist outing at Sault Ste. Marie on Sept. 23.

• He split the 2016-17 campaign between the Otters and the Generals, finishing fifth among rookies with 17-27—44 in 62 games. His debut season saw him record nine multi-point outings and named to the OHL’s First All-Rookie Team.

• Internationally, McShane earned a silver medal with Canada Black at the 2016 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge (3-2—5 in 6 GP) and represented his country at the 2018 Under-18 World Championship (1-5—6 in 5 GP).

• Models his style of play after Senators forward Matt Duchene and Hurricanes forward Jeff Skinner.
