• McLeod finished third on the Steelheads in scoring with 26-44—70 in 68 games during the 2017-18 season, highlighted by a 14-game point streak from Oct. 6 – Nov. 10 (5-15—20). His 14-game run marked the longest such stretch by a Mississauga player since Daniel Sisca posted a 17-game streak from Jan. 12 – March 7, 2003 (10-14—24) – when the team was known as the Mississauga IceDogs.

• No stranger to winning, McLeod won back-to-back OHL Cup championships with the Toronto Marlboros of the GTHL in 2013-14 and 2014-15 – earning GTHL Player of the Year and OHL Cup MVP honors in the latter campaign.

• Internationally, McLeod was a member of Canada White’s gold medal-winning team at the 2015 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge and represented his country at the 2016 Ivan Hlinka Memorial.

• His brother, Michael McLeod, was drafted 12th overall by the Devils in 2016 and also skated for the Steelheads in 2017-18 (16-28—44 in 38 GP). His oldest brother, Matthew McLeod, finished his third season with Canisius College in 2017-18.

• Models his style of play after Islanders forward John Tavares.
