• Mitchell collected 8-29—37 with the Spruce Grove Saints of the Alberta Junior Hockey League in the 2016-17 regular season (53 GP) and added 1-3—4 in the playoffs (10 GP).

• In 2015-16, Mitchell was named to the AJHL (North) All-Rookie Team after posting 6-21—27 in 54 regular-season games and 1-4—5 in 14 postseason contests.

• Internationally, Mitchell represented Canada at the 2017 Under-18 World Championship (0-2—2 in 5 GP) and the 2016 Ivan Hlinka Memorial (2-1—3 in 4 GP). He also skated with Canada West at the 2016 World Junior A Challenge (1-2—3 in 4 GP) and helped Canada White win a gold medal at the 2015 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge (2-3—5 in 6 GP).

• Mitchell has committed to the University of Denver for the 2017-18 season.
