• Poehling recorded 7-6—13, including two game-winning goals, in 35 games with St. Cloud State during the 2016-17 regular season.
• Prior to joining St. Cloud State, Poehling starred for Lakeville North High in Minnesota recording 20-34—54 in 25 games in 2015-16 and 14-24—38 in 25 games in 2014-15.
• Poehling completed his studies at Lakeville North High School early, allowing him to enroll and play hockey at St. Cloud State alongside his older twin brothers Jack and Nick.
• Internationally, Poehling won a gold medal with Team USA at the 2017 Under-18 World Championship (3-2—5 in 7 GP) and earned a silver medal representing his country at the 2016 Ivan Hlinka Memorial (4-3—7 in 5 GP).
