• Maidens recorded 23 points (12-11--23) in 28 games during an injury-shortened 2011-12 season.

• In 2010-11, Maidens led Owen Sound rookies in scoring with 21 points (11-10--21). He recorded 10 points (6-4--10) in the playoffs, helping the Bulls win the OHL championship. Maidens scored twice in Game 7 of the final against Mississauga, including the overtime winner.

• Nicknamed ‘Iron’ Maidens, he represented Canada at the 2011 Under-18 Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament and Team Ontario at the 2011 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge. He was unable to play in the Under-17 tournament due to injury, but still received a medal.

• Prior to making the jump to the OHL, Maidens had a 63-goal season with the Hamilton Minor Midget AAA Bulldogs in 2009-10. He had previously been billeting in Toronto to play with the Young Nationals, but made the switch to be closer to home for one season.
