• Jost was named Canadian Junior Hockey League National Player of the Year in 2015-16 after leading the British Columbia Hockey League in assists (62) and points per game (2.17). The first-year Vees captain placed third in BCHL scoring with 42-62—104, helping Penticton finish with the top regular-season record while earning First Team All-Star and League MVP honors.

• Wearing the “C” for Team Canada at the 2016 Under-18 World Championship, Jost collected 6-9—15 in seven games en route to being named Top Forward. His 15 points established a Canadian record at the tournament, surpassing the previous mark set by Connor McDavid in 2013 (8-6—14).

• Jost also represented his country at the 2015 Ivan Hlinka Memorial and 2015 World Junior A Challenge, winning gold at both. He earned tournament MVP honors at the Junior A Challenge, leading all players in assists (6) and points (9).

• In 2014-15, Jost averaged nearly a point per game (23-22—45 in 46 GP) to earn a spot on the BCHL’s All-Rookie Team. He then paced all players with five goals (tied) during the regional playoffs to help Penticton capture its first Western Canada Cup.

• Jost collected 44-44—88 in 36 regular-season games in 2013-14 before leading the Okanagan Rockets to a third-place finish at the TELUS Cup, Canada’s national Midget AAA championship.

• He has committed to the University of North Dakota for the fall of 2016. Jost chose to retain his NCAA eligibility despite being selected seventh overall by the Everett Silvertips in the 2013 Western Hockey League Bantam Draft, one pick ahead of his roommate and Vees teammate Dante Fabbro (No. 18 NA Skater).
