2011-2012 Situation Room blog

At 13:16 of the second period in the Rangers/Capitals game, the Toronto Situation Room initiated a video review because the puck entered the Rangers net. The Referee determined that he had blown the play dead prior to the puck crossing the goal line due to goalie interference.  According to rule 78.5 "Apparent goals shall be disallowed by the Referee when an attacking player has interfered with a goalkeeper in his goal crease."  No Goal Washington.

I didn't think it would actually work, but it ended up working, so I'm thanking my lucky stars tonight.
