Toews could return next week for Hawks
NASHVILLE – Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville said captain Jonathan Toews skated again Saturday and he might be able to return to action in the next week.

Toews skated at home in Chicago on Saturday, as he did not make the team’s trip for the game with the Predators.

“We’re hopeful that maybe we can get him in before the end of the season,” Quenneville said.

Asked if Toews had been cleared for contact, Quenneville at first responded in the affirmative but then said he was “not positive.”

Here is Chicago's projected lineup:

Andrew Brunette - Patrick Kane - Marian Hossa
Patrick Sharp - Marcus Kruger - Viktor Stalberg
Bryan Bickell - Dave Bolland - Andrew Shaw
Brandon Bollig - Jamal Mayers - Michael Frolik

Niklas Hjalmarsson - Brent Seabrook
Johnny Oduya - Nick Leddy
Sean O’Donnell - Dylan Olsen

Corey Crawford
Ray Emery
Quote of the Day

For our team, as a group, we've never been this far before, and so it's just more lessons learned, and sometimes you have to go to the school of hard knocks to find out what works and what doesn't. We've got a young group. They've played some unreal hockey here to get us this far, and we showed if we're not going to play the proper way, a really, really good hockey team is going to beat you, and that's what they did. It's a lesson learned.
