Oilers phenom Nugent-Hopkins out up to a month
Edmonton Oilers phenom Ryan Nugent-Hopkins is expected to miss three-to-four weeks because of a left shoulder injury, the team announced Thursday.

Nugent-Hopkins, the No. 1 pick in the 2011 Entry Draft, missed Edmonton’s game Tuesday in Buffalo, and had been sent home to Alberta for further evaluation. He leads all rookies with 13 goals and 35 points in 38 games for the Oilers.

It is the second straight year that a No. 1 overall pick playing for the Oilers has had a significant injury. Taylor Hall, the No. 1 pick in the 2010 Entry Draft, missed the final 17 games of the 2010-11 season with an ankle injury.
Quote of the Day

I downplayed the first one because I thought it's just a hockey game. We just want to win the game; it's against our rival and we want the two points. I downplayed it, but now having gone through the first one I look back and say, 'Geez, that was really cool.' I think as I've grown a bit older I've got a lot more appreciation for what we're allowed to do every day.
