At the Rink: Blackhawks at Predators

NASHVILLE -- Patrick Kane will try to extend his 23-game point streak when the Chicago Blackhawks play the Nashville Predators at Bridgestone Arena on Thursday (8 p.m. ET; CSN-CH, FS-TN).

Kane scored an empty-net goal with 1:36 remaining in a 4-1 win against the Predators on Tuesday to keep his point streak alive. He has 37 points during the streak and is looking to keep it going as long as he can.

"I've been lucky and fortunate to keep it alive for as long as it's been going on," Kane said. "There's been some good games, some bad games, but sometimes you need a little bit of luck in a streak like this. I think it's been fun. My teammates have been great. I think they've been almost too kind to the point where sometimes you almost feel that they're over-passing it a little bit. But everyone has been awesome about it."

Blackhawks (15-9-4) defenseman Trevor Daley participated in the morning skate but will not play against the Predators. He has not played since sustaining an upper-body injury Dec. 6 against the Winnipeg Jets.

"He's real close," Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville said. "We'll see about tomorrow [against the Jets] but he feels much better and it's good to see him out there on the ice."

Nashville (14-9-5) defenseman Roman Josi has been a force defensively this season alongside Shea Weber on the top defense pairing, but he also has been a key part of the offense. Josi leads Nashville with 21 points. His teammates marvel at his skating ability when he has the puck.

"I don't get how a guy can just skate with the puck so easily and just make it look so easy," Predators forward Eric Nystrom said. "We had a video session the other day and he was just wheeling through the whole ice, and I said, 'Roman, what are you thinking about when you get the puck?' He was like, 'You know, just go where he isn't. Go around them.' I said, 'That's what I try to do every single game, man. Why don't I look like that?'"

Here are the projected lineups:
