DraftKings daily fantasy value picks for Nov. 23

Each day during the 2015-16 season, NHL.com's fantasy staff will identify one player at each position worth owning in DraftKings daily fantasy hockey contests. Based on factors including but not limited to matchups, line combinations, power-play usage, statistical coverage and recent production, we'll provide you with lower-priced options that can help you build a winning lineup.

Players accumulate points in DraftKings for each goal (3 points), assist (2), shot on goal (0.5), blocked shot (0.5) and shootout goal (0.2). Bonuses are given for shorthanded points (1) and hat tricks (1.5). Goalies accumulate points for each win (3) and save (0.2), and lose a point for each goal allowed. Goalie bonuses are given for a shutout (2) where the goalie completes the entire game with no goals allowed in regulation (and overtime, if applicable). Shootout goals will not prevent a shutout, and goalies will receive points for any goals or assists they score in a game. Penalty minutes, hits, plus-minus and PP points DO NOT count in DraftKings. DraftKings lineups must include nine players (2 C, 3 W, 2 D, 1 G, 1 FLEX) and fit within the $50,000 salary cap.

Leon Draisaitl, C, Edmonton Oilers

Not available in all U.S. states. See Official Rules for full eligibility rules and further details.

DraftKings price: $4,000

Although Draisaitl has been featured in the daily fantasy value picks blog a few times this season, it bears repeating that DraftKings owners can do no wrong with the Oilers' first-line center. He has been unstoppable since joining the Oilers from the Bakersfield Condors of the American Hockey League on Oct. 29, and has seven goals, 10 assists and 20 shots on goal in 10 games this season. The second-year player is in the midst of a five-game point streak during which he has four goals, six assists and seven shots on goal. Draisaitl has one assist and three shots on goal in his only career game against the Washington Capitals, who the Oilers visit Monday.

Mats Zuccarello, W, New York Rangers

DraftKings price: $5,600

Zuccarello has been scoring in bunches recently with six goals and nine assists in the past 10 games, including four three-point games. He should be a sound selection at home against the Nashville Predators (7 p.m. ET; SN1, SNE, SNO, SNP, FS-TN, MSG+) as Zuccarello has 15 of his 21 points this season in 11 games at Madison Square Garden. Zuccarello has five assists and eight shots on goal in in four career games against Nashville.

Tyson Barrie, D, Colorado Avalanche

DraftKings price: $4,700

Barrie has been a serviceable depth defenseman in daily fantasy leagues this season with one goal, 11 assists in 17 games and always is a good value pick because of his scoring potential as a member of the Avalanche's top power-play unit. He could have a good game at the Winnipeg Jets based on the fact that Barrie has one goal, seven assists, nine blocked shots and 14 shots on goal in 10 games this season in which he has one day of rest. He also has decent career numbers against the Jets with one goal, four assists, seven blocked shots and 14 shots on goal in 10 games.

James Reimer, G, Toronto Maple Leafs

DraftKings price: $6,600

Reimer has been one of the best value options in DraftKings recently and he's worth picking at home against the rival Boston Bruins. He went seven straight starts without a regulation loss, including a five-game winning streak, which ended with a 2-0 loss at the Bruins on Saturday. Considering Reimer gave up one goal Saturday, it's justified to roll the dice with him Monday (7:30 p.m. ET; TVA Sports, NESN, TSN4). With one of the factors for winning a DraftKings contest being luck, Reimer offers owners odds nearly identical to a coin flip with a 5-6-2 record in 14 career games against the Bruins.
