DraftKings daily fantasy value picks for Nov. 19

Each day during the 2015-16 season, NHL.com's fantasy staff will identify one player at each position worth owning in DraftKings daily fantasy hockey contests. Based on factors including but not limited to matchups, line combinations, power-play usage, statistical coverage and recent production, we'll provide you with lower-priced options that can help you build a winning lineup.

Players accumulate points in DraftKings for each goal (3 points), assist (2), shot on goal (0.5), blocked shot (0.5) and shootout goal (0.2). Bonuses are given for shorthanded points (1) and hat tricks (1.5). Goalies accumulate points for each win (3) and save (0.2), and lose a point for each goal allowed. Goalie bonuses are given for a shutout (2) where the goalie completes the entire game with no goals allowed in regulation (and overtime, if applicable). Shootout goals will not prevent a shutout, and goalies will receive points for any goals or assists they score in a game. Penalty minutes, hits, plus-minus and PP points DO NOT count in DraftKings. DraftKings lineups must include nine players (2 C, 3 W, 2 D, 1 G, 1 FLEX) and fit within the $50,000 salary cap.

DraftKings price: $5,500

After losing their first eight games to open the season, Columbus is trending in the right direction (7-12-0) and visits the Ottawa Senators, who are tied for the sixth-most goals allowed per game this season. Johansen, priced $3,500 cheaper than Tyler Seguin and 17th overall at his position, is a nice value pick -- especially playing alongside Brandon Saad ($5,900) and Boone Jenner ($4,200) of late. That trio has plenty of size and skill and presents a manageable line stack with high upside, especially with Saad emerging as one of the top goal scorers in the League and Johansen compiling one goal and four assists in his past four games.

Mikkel Boedker, W, Arizona Coyotes

DraftKings price: $4,100

With Martin Hanzal ($4,400) back healthy, the Coyotes are as dangerous as ever in road situations. Boedker, a low-risk, high-reward wing, is averaging 3.9 DraftKings points per contest on the road with 10 points and 28 shots on goal in 11 games away from home. He leads all NHL forwards in power-play ice time per game and is back with his usual running mates Antoine Vermette and Max Domi at even strength. Mike Condon has allowed three-plus goals in each of his past three games and is vulnerable entering this trap game for the Montreal Canadiens.

Shayne Gostisbehere, D, Philadelphia Flyers

DraftKings price: $2,700

Since the Flyers recalled Gostisbehere, an NCAA standout at Union College, he has points in each of his first two games with two blocked shots and six shots on goal. He played first-unit power-play action against the Los Angeles Kings on Tuesday in the absence of injured Mark Streit, scored a goal with the man-advantage, and finished with 5.5 points in DraftKings. Gostisbehere has a chance to keep the ball rolling against the San Jose Sharks and is certainly worth a flier if you'd rather spend up for top forwards on this nine-game night. As strong as Martin Jones (7-1-0) and the Sharks have been on the road this season, Philadelphia's power play is bound to eventually improve and could have something to say about San Jose's suspect penalty kill (76.8 percent, 23rd in NHL).

Jonas Gustavsson, G, Boston Bruins

DraftKings price: $6,600

Of all the cheap goalies on this night, Gustavsson probably has the best chance at a win; the only more affordable goalies in DraftKings are Mike Smith ($6,200) at the Canadiens and Buffalo Sabres goalies Chad Johnson ($6,300) and Linus Ullmark ($6,200) at the St. Louis Blues. Boston continues to live up to its identity as a high-scoring bunch (3.29 goals per game, third in NHL) and the Minnesota Wild have a minus-5 goal differential in road games this season. Gustavsson is expected to get his first home start of the season Thursday after holding his ground in four road outings with a 3-1-0 record and nine goals allowed.
