Gagne to be feted by Philadelphia Tuesday
The Philadelphia Flyers will honor forward Simon Gagne, who announced his retirement Sept. 15, before their game against the Los Angeles Kings. Gagne played 11 of his 14 NHL seasons with the Flyers, and his 264 goals, 535 points and 691 games played rank in the Flyers' top 10.

Sabres' Kane skates, hopes to return on road trip
Buffalo Sabres forward Evander Kane returned to the ice for the first time on Tuesday since he injured his knee Oct. 24 against the New Jersey Devils and said he hopes to play on the Sabres' upcoming road trip.

Maple Leafs turn back to goalie Reimer vs. Avalanche
Goalie James Reimer will start for the Toronto Maple Leafs against the Colorado Avalanche on Tuesday at Air Canada Centre. Reimer, named the NHL's third star for the week ending Nov. 15, has won three straight games.

Hornqvist status uncertain as Penguins host Wild
Pittsburgh Penguins forward Patric Hornqvist could play against the Minnesota Wild at Consol Energy Center on Tuesday. Hornqvist did not practice on Monday after sustaining an undisclosed injury against the New Jersey Devils on Saturday.

Boll to play 500th game as Blue Jackets host Blues
Two significant events happened on Oct. 5, 2007, in Nationwide Arena: The bombastic cannon was used for the first time when the Blue Jackets scored and forward Jared Boll made his NHL debut for them. Eight years and a month later, each still aggravates visiting teams with their loudness.
