DraftKings daily fantasy value picks for Nov. 2

Each day during the 2015-16 season, NHL.com's fantasy staff will identify one player at each position worth owning in DraftKings daily fantasy hockey contests. Based on factors including but not limited to matchups, line combinations, power-play usage, statistical coverage and recent production, we'll provide you with lower-priced options that can help you build a winning lineup.

Players accumulate points in DraftKings for each goal (3 points), assist (2), shot on goal (0.5), blocked shot (0.5) and shootout goal (0.2). Bonuses are given for shorthanded points (1) and hat tricks (1.5). Goalies accumulate points for each win (3) and save (0.2), and lose a point for each goal allowed. Goalie bonuses are given for a shutout (2) where the goalie completes the entire game with no goals allowed in regulation (and overtime, if applicable). Shootout goals will not prevent a shutout, and goalies will receive points for any goals or assists they score in a game. Penalty minutes, hits, plus-minus and PP points DO NOT count in DraftKings. DraftKings lineups must include nine players (2 C, 3 W, 2 D, 1 G, 1 FLEX) and fit within the $50,000 salary cap.

DraftKings price: $5,900

With a limited pool of players to choose from on a three-game Monday, Spezza can provide a huge return on investment at the Toronto Maple Leafs (7:30 p.m. ET; TVA Sports, FS-SW, SNO). The second-line center has five goals and five assists in 11 games and is averaging 3.2 shots per game. Spezza has put up incredible numbers against Toronto in his career with 18 goals, 39 assists and 159 shots on goal in 58 games.

Tyler Toffoli, W, Los Angeles Kings

DraftKings price: $5,600

Toffoli is averaging a point per game for the Kings with 10 points through 10 games and is tied with Dallas Stars forward Jamie Benn for the League lead with nine goals this season. Toffoli has two goals, one assist and seven shots on goal in three road games this season. Those stats should give DraftKings owners confidence as the Kings visit the Chicago Blackhawks on Monday (8:30 p.m. ET; NHLN, SNE, SNO, SNW, FS-W, CSN-CH). Toffoli has three goals, two assists and eight shots on goal in seven career games against the Blackhawks.

Jason Demers, D, Dallas Stars

DraftKings price: $3,300

Demers has been the perfect DraftKings value pick all season long as he has benefitted from playing for the Stars, who are second in the NHL with 40 non-shootout goals in 11 games. Demers has two goals and two assists during a three-game point streak has one goal and three assists in five road games this season. The Maple Leafs are a favorable opponent Monday with an average of 3.30 goals-against in 10 games this season.

Jonathan Quick, G, Los Angeles Kings

DraftKings price: $7,200

Quick will try to extend his winning streak to seven games as the Kings play the Blackhawks in Chicago on Monday (8:30 p.m. ET; NHLN, SNE, SNO, SNW, FS-W, CSN-CH). The two-time Stanley Cup-winning goaltender is 2-0-0 on the road this season with 50 saves on 53 shots and a 1.50 goals-against average. While Quick is 7-14-1 in 22 career games against the Blackhawks, his other numbers have been good: two shutouts, a 2.84 GAA and an average of 27.8 saves per game.
