DraftKings daily fantasy value picks for Nov. 1

Each day during the 2015-16 season, NHL.com's fantasy staff will identify one player at each position worth owning in DraftKings daily fantasy hockey contests. Based on factors including but not limited to matchups, line combinations, power-play usage, statistical coverage and recent production, we'll provide you with lower-priced options that can help you build a winning lineup.

Players accumulate points in DraftKings for each goal (3 points), assist (2), shot on goal (0.5), blocked shot (0.5) and shootout goal (0.2). Bonuses are given for shorthanded points (1) and hat tricks (1.5). Goalies accumulate points for each win (3) and save (0.2), and lose a point for each goal allowed. Goalie bonuses are given for a shutout (2) where the goalie completes the entire game with no goals allowed in regulation (and overtime, if applicable). Shootout goals will not prevent a shutout, and goalies will receive points for any goals or assists they score in a game. Penalty minutes, hits, plus-minus and PP points DO NOT count in DraftKings. DraftKings lineups must include nine players (2 C, 3 W, 2 D, 1 G, 1 FLEX) and fit within the $50,000 salary cap.

Bryan Little, C, Winnipeg Jets

DraftKings price: $5,300

Little, who plays with normal running mates Andrew Ladd and Blake Wheeler at even strength and on the power play, has multipoint outings in three of his past four games and five-plus DraftKings points in five of his past 10 games. He's averaging more than two shots on goal per game (24), plays more than 19 minutes per game and has three goals and one assist in five road games this season. Also consider New York Islanders center Frans Nielsen ($4,800), who has points in four straight and could see an elevated role if John Tavares (illness) misses another game Sunday.

Ryan O'Reilly, W, Buffalo Sabres

DraftKings price: $5,100

O'Reilly is one of the hottest players League-wide with multipoint outings in three of his past four games and a five-game point streak for the Sabres, who have been without Evander Kane and Tyler Ennis recently. He's tied for the NHL lead in power-play points (seven) and is tied for seventh in scoring (13 in 11 games). He's currently playing center with Nicolas Deslauriers and Marcus Foligno at even strength but is wing-eligible in DraftKings with nine players priced higher at his position. O'Reilly trails only Blake Wheeler ($7,200), James Neal ($6,300) and Max Pacioretty ($7,700) in DraftKings points per game among wing-eligible players for contests Sunday.

Ryan Ellis, D, Nashville Predators

DraftKings price: $3,600

Ellis may have Shea Weber and Roman Josi in front of him in the power-play pecking order, but he's been a consistent producer in terms of shots on goal with 24 in nine games including 12 coming in his past three games. He ranks ninth in DraftKings points per game among defensemen in this contest and is priced 15th at his position, so there is certainly value there. It's also worth noting that Ellis busted out for three points (one goal, two assists) against the Anaheim Ducks, his Sunday opponent, on Oct. 22.

Michael Hutchinson, G, Winnipeg Jets

DraftKings price: $6,600

No Sunday goalie averages more DraftKings points per contest than Hutchinson (7.8). The Montreal Canadiens return home minus Carey Price (lower-body injury) and have lost two of their past three following a 9-0-0 start. The Jets have been outstanding on the road (4-1-0) and Hutchinson is 4-0-0 with seven goals allowed and a .949 save percentage this season. The only projected starter cheaper than Hutchinson is Buffalo Sabres goalie Linus Ullmark ($6,100) at Barclays Center against the Islanders. All things considered, Hutchinson gives you the most bang for your buck on this night.
