Penguins' Dupuis out a month with lower-body injury

Pittsburgh Penguins forward Pascal Dupuis will miss 4-5 weeks with a lower-body injury that is not related to his blood clot from last season, the Penguins announced Tuesday.

Dupuis left practice Sunday and did not skate Monday. Coach Mike Johnston told the Penguins website Dupuis had a slight injury and was kept off the ice as a precaution.

Dupuis, who last played a regular-season game Nov. 15, 2014, had a goal in four preseason games. He has 188 goals and 405 points in 853 NHL games, and 19 goals and 44 points in 97 Stanley Cup Playoff games.

The Penguins begin their season Thursday at the Dallas Stars.
