Blackhawks assistant coach Mike Kitchen said on NHL Network that Bickell was out for precautionary reasons and that forward Kris Versteeg would replace him in the lineup.
Versteeg, who has been scratched for the past four games and 10 of the past 11, skated in Bickell's regular spot on the second line with Brad Richards and Marian Hossa.
Bickell has no goals and five assists in 17 games in the 2015 Stanley Cup Playoffs. Versteeg has one goal and no assists in seven games. He played all six games in the first round against the Nashville Predators, but has played in one of 11 games since.
