Getzlaf sets Ducks' points record for one postseason

Ryan Getzlaf has 19 points in the 2015 Stanley Cup Playoffs, breaking his own Anaheim Ducks record for a single postseason, after he earned two assists in Game 5 of the Western Conference Final against the Chicago Blackhawks on Monday.

The Anaheim captain has two goals and 17 assists in 14 games in the 2015 Stanley Cup Playoffs. Getzlaf leads the postseason in points and assists; he is on a five-game point streak and has six multipoint games.

Getzlaf assisted on defenseman Sami Vatanen's first-period goal at 14:37 to give the Ducks a 3-0 lead. He assisted on Patrick Maroon's goal that gave the Ducks a 4-2 lead at 14:45 of the third period to break the record he had set in the 2009 postseason, when he had 18 points (four goals, 14 assists) in 13 games.

Getzlaf will have a chance to extend the record; Anaheim is guaranteed to play at least two more playoff games.

Game 6 is Wednesday at United Center (8 p.m. ET; NBCSN, CBC, TVA Sports). If the Blackhawks win, Game 7 would be Saturday at Honda Center.

In 95 NHL playoff games, Getzlaf has 27 goals, including five game-winners, and 66 assists.

During the regular season, Getzlaf's 70 points led the Ducks. His 25 goals were second behind Corey Perry (33).
