Ducks forward Perry misses another practice

ANAHEIM -- Anaheim Ducks right wing Corey Perry missed a second straight practice Thursday, but coach Bruce Boudreau again said he expects the right wing will play in Game 1 of the Western Conference Final against the Chicago Blackhawks at Honda Center on Sunday (3 p.m. ET; NBC, CBC, TVA Sports).

"Like I'd said [Tuesday], we had six days off; there's no sense rushing him," Boudreau said. "I'm pretty sure he'll be on the ice [Friday]."

Perry, whose 15 points lead the Stanley Cup Playoffs, appeared to injure his right leg in Game 5 of the second round when he was hit by Matt Stajan of the Calgary Flames. He left the game but returned and scored the series-clinching goal in overtime.

Perry did not skate Tuesday, raising speculation he might not have fully recovered, but he was seen walking through the locker room without issue.

The Ducks were off Monday and Wednesday.

Boudreau repeated that he expects Perry to be ready to play in Game 1.

"I have no indication that he's not," he said.
