NEW YORK -- New York Rangers left wing Tanner Glass will play in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Final against the Tampa Bay Lightning on Saturday (1 p.m. ET; NBC, CBC, TVA Sports) after missing practice Friday.
Rangers coach Alain Vigneault confirmed Glass will play during his pregame press conference.
The Rangers never gave a specific reason why Glass missed practice Friday other than to say he was having a maintenance day. Vigneault said Friday he expected Glass would be able to play if nothing changed.
Glass has been on the Rangers fourth line throughout the 2015 Stanley Cup Playoffs. He has no points but is second on the team with 44 hits. He has played in every game and is averaging 9:26 of ice time.
