It's taken Corey Perry only five games to lead the Stanley Cup Playoffs in scoring. He could have done it in two.

The Anaheim Ducks forward had his second four-point game of the postseason in a 6-1, Game 1 win Thursday against the Calgary Flames in the Western Conference Second Round.

Perry had seven points in the four-game first-round sweep of the Winnipeg Jets, including two goals and two assists in that Game 1.

"You can see it on Corey Perry's face, how much he wants to score and how much he wants to be the guy that does the damage," Anaheim coach Bruce Boudreau told the Ducks website Friday. "That's probably why he gets into a lot of trouble with other players more than other guys. He can be an antagonizer and an instigator as well as a great player."

Perry is the first player with multiple four-point games in the same playoffs since Keith Primeau with the 2004 Philadelphia Flyers.

Perry has 11 points (five goals, six assists) in five games. His two four-point Game 1s alone would have him tied for the postseason lead with teammate Ryan Getzlaf, Jonathan Toews of the Chicago Blackhawks and Kevin Shattenkirk of the St. Louis Blues.

Perry had 12 points in the final 19 games of the regular season to finish with 55 in 67 games.

Anaheim showed no signs of rust in Game 1 after having eight days off between the first round and second round. The Ducks took a 2-0 lead in the first period, and Perry's goal at 2:13 of the second forced Flames coach Bob Hartley to pull goalie Jonas Hiller.

"I thought last game was good, but I think there's room for improvement," Anaheim center Ryan Kesler said. "Certain areas of our game need to improve, and we worked on it today in practice. If you keep improving during the series, you're going to be successful”

Game 2 of the best-of-7 series is Sunday at Honda Center (10 p.m. ET; CNBC, TVA Sports, SN).

"We played a pretty solid game, but we expect them to be a lot better and in order to beat them we have to be better ourselves,” Ducks forward Andrew Cogliano said.
