Ducks get even younger with Parros out of lineup
ANAHEIM -- The Ducks will be without enforcer George Parros for four weeks after Parros had laser eye surgery to correct a torn retina when he was struck by a puck in practice.

That means Anaheim is even younger on their third and fourth lines, with three rookies in Devante Smith-Pelly, Maxime Macenauer and Peter Holland.

"There's a lot of youth injected into that grouping and we're looking for some people to step to the forefront," Carlyle said. "We think there's some people in there that have made some strides, but on the other hand we think there has to be a better understanding on our expectations on how they have to play.

"If you don't inject youth into your lineup, at some point you're going to be old and slow. They're not all Teemu Selannes."
