Ducks unsure if they'll have Wagner for Game 3

ANAHEIM - The status of Anaheim Ducks center Chris Wagner is not known for Game 3 of the Western Conference First Round against the Winnipeg Jets on Monday at MTS Centre (9 p.m. ET; NHLN-US, NBCSN, TVA Sports, SN, PRIME).

Anaheim coach Bruce Boudreau wouldn't comment Sunday on Wagner, who left Game 2 in the first period Saturday with an upper-body injury, according to the Ducks. Boudreau wasn't yet certain if Wagner would go on the trip because he had not yet talked to the trainer.

Anaheim is also without center Nate Thompson and goalie John Gibson because of upper-body injuries. Neither has skated since they sustained the injuries but Boudreau said both will travel.

If Wagner can't play, the Ducks have extra forwards Jiri Sekac and Tomas Fleischmann, although neither are centers. Anaheim could recall a player from the American Hockey League.

The Ducks lead the best-of-7-series 2-0.

Winnipeg briefly lost forward Mathieu Perreault in Game 2 after Perreault was run into the goal post. He went to the dressing room but returned in the third period.

"A lot of grit and determination there to play it out," Jets coach Paul Maurice said.
