Kings' Williams on playoff push, Game 7 success

Los Angeles Kings forward Justin Williams joined NHL Live to discuss the defending Stanley Cup champions' push to reach the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

The Kings entered Tuesday leading the Winnipeg Jets by one point for the second wild card into the Stanley Cup Playoffs from the Western Conference.

"I think as a team we've experienced a lot together going through Cup runs, obviously," Williams said. "Getting to the playoffs is really the toughest. Half the teams get in and everyone is improving every year. We're battle tested and I look around the room and I'm confident that when push comes to shove we're able to do it."

Known as "Mr. Game 7," Williams has seven goals and 14 points in seven series-deciding games played. His teams are 7-0 in those games.

"I've just been on some good teams, that's all I can say. Fortunately for me I've been able to chip in on the scoreboard on those times," Williams said. "A lot has been made about how I've done on Game 7s but you look at our teams, our team numbers are ridiculous when your back's against the wall and it's up to them. If it wasn't me I feel someone else on that team would get the goals and I've just been happy to be a part of some good squads."
