Flames ask Glencross for list of teams: report

Forward Curtis Glencross, who has a no-movement clause in his contract, was asked by the Calgary Flames for a list of teams to which he'd accept a trade, Glencross confirmed Thursday to the Calgary Sun.

Glencross, in his seventh season with the Flames, has eight goals and 26 points in 49 games this season, but said his current role isn't where he wants it to be.

"I'm disappointed in that circumstance," he said, according to the Calgary Herald. "I feel like I can give more to this team and I can be used more on this team."

Glencross averages 16:51 per game, fifth among Flames forwards. He averages the fourth-most power-play ice time on the team at 2:22 per game.

Glencross has two seasons with at least 20 goals and three with 40 or more points. He's in the final season of a four-year, $10.2 million contract and said there have been no talks with the Flames about signing an extension.

"If the right opportunity comes along and the management asks me to do that kind of thing, that's where we're at," Glencross said, according to the Herald.

"I'm at the point in my career where I want to win a Cup. And if it comes to a situation where I am going to have to leave, I'm going to miss a lot of guys in here."

The Flames are in second place in the Pacific Division, but two points is all that separates them from the fifth-place San Jose Sharks.
