Erie Otters captain Connor McDavid, No. 1 on NHL Central Scouting's midterm list of the top North American skaters eligible for the 2015 NHL Draft, extended his season-high point streak to 16 games with a goal and two points on a very special night against the Guelph Storm on Wednesday.

Even though the Otters lost the game, 6-3, the first 500 children aged 12-and-under at Erie Insurance Arena were given a Connor McDavid bobblehead. On Friday, the Otters will make available additional bobbleheads of the team captain.

McDavid, who has 26 goals and 78 points in 31 games this season, has 12 goals and 36 points during his 16-game point streak. The 18-year-old center has 79 goals and 243 points in 150 career games with the Otters spanning three seasons.

Prior to being chosen No. 1 by the Pittsburgh Penguins at the 2005 NHL Draft, Sidney Crosby produced 120 goals and 303 points in 121 career games spanning two seasons with the Rimouski Oceanic of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.
