WASHINGTON -- Anaheim Ducks captain Ryan Getzlaf is out for a second straight game Friday at the Washington Capitals.
Getzlaf, was a late scratch Thursday against the Nashville Predators after aggravating a lower-body injury during warm-ups.
Ducks coach Bruce Boudreau said Getzlaf was a game-time decision Friday.
"We'll see how we feels before warm-up and we'll go from there," Boudreau said. "But we did, just in case, we brought up William Karlsson just in case he can't go, but he was feeling a lot better this morning."
Karlsson was in the lineup for the first time since Nov. 16.
Washington Capitals defenseman Mike Green was scratched because of a lower-body injury. He is day-to-day, the Capitals said.
Green was involved a knee-on-knee collision with Ottawa Senators defenseman Chris Phillips on Thursday. He briefly left for the locker room in the first period but finished the game, playing 17:06.
Green missed eight games earlier this season because of injury.
