At the Rink: Bruins at Hurricanes

RALEIGH, N.C. -- The Boston Bruins will try to put a 3-2 overtime loss to the Ottawa Senators on Saturday behind them when they face the Carolina Hurricanes on Sunday afternoon. Boston has lost two straight and three of its past four games (1-1-2).

The Hurricanes are coming off a 2-1 win against the Philadelphia Flyers on Friday. Hurricanes captain Eric Staal, who has goals in each of his past three games, is seeking his 300th NHL goal.

The Hurricanes have confirmed that Anton Khudobin will start in goal, his first appearance against his former team. Jeff Skinner returns to the lineup after missing one game with an illness.

Status report: McQuaid returned to the lineup Saturday after missing 18 games with a thumb injury. He replaced Bartkowski in the lineup.

Who's hot: Eriksson (4-5-9), Kelly (2-6-8) and Soderberg (3-5-8) are averaging 3.13 points per game as a line over the past eight games.
