Montreal Canadiens prospect Jacob de la Rose will be loaned to the Swedish National Junior Team for participation in the 2015 IIHF World Junior Championship, according to Canadiens general manager Marc Bergevin.
De la Rose, selected in the second round (No. 34) of the 2013 NHL Draft, had three goals, six points and a plus-3 rating for the silver medal-winning Swedes at the 2014 WJC in Malmo, Sweden. He also represented his country at the 2013 WJC when Sweden also won a silver medal.
The 6-foot-3, 198-pound left-handed shot has three goals and five points in 26 games for the Hamilton Bulldogs in the American Hockey League this season.
