Eichel led all Hockey East players in points (13), assists (nine) and plus/minus rating (plus-7) in November on the way to helping the Terriers (9-3-1) climb to the No. 1 ranking last week in both national polls for the first time in more than four years.

He had at least one point in each of the Terriers' first six games of November and had a point in seven of nine games in the month. He scored in overtime and had an assist in a 3-2 victory against the University of Maine on Nov. 21. It was one of five multipoint games in November.

Eichel leads all NCAA Division I players in points (21) and plus/minus rating (plus-16).

On Tuesday Eichel was named to the preliminary roster for the 2015 IIHF United States National Junior Team.

The selection camp will run Dec. 16-19 on the campus of Boston University at Walter Brown Arena. Eichel will play for the United States against the Terriers in an exhibition game Dec. 19.

Boston University will visit Merrimack College on Friday in the first of a home-and-home series against the Warriors.
