Ducks forwards Perry, Palmieri activated from IR

ANAHEIM – Anaheim Ducks right wing Corey Perry and left wing Kyle Palmieri were activated from injured reserve Sunday.

Each returned to the Ducks lineup against the Florida Panthers at Honda Center.

Anaheim also put right wing Devante Smith-Pelly on injured reserve with an upper-body injury and scratched Tim Jackman because of stomach flu.

Perry was cleared earlier this week to rejoin the Ducks after a case of mumps and was expected to need time to get his conditioning level up, but Anaheim coach Bruce Boudreau said Saturday that Perry didn’t necessarily need that much time to get back up to speed.

Perry had not played since Nov.2. He has 11 goals in 13 games and leads the NHL in shooting percentage (26.2 percent). The Ducks went 1-0-4 without him.

Palmieri had not played this season because of a high ankle sprain. He did a two-game conditioning assignment in the American Hockey League.

Defenseman Francois Beauchemin is also recovering from mumps. It is not known when he will rejoin the Ducks. who leave Monday for a two-game trip.
