The center with the Erie Otters of the Ontario Hockey League, who is on a 14-game season-opening point streak, has 14 goals, 42 points and a plus-30 rating this season.

McDavid is an A-rated skater on NHL Central Scouting's preliminary players to watch list.

Four of McDavid's games will be shown live: Nov. 14 against the Niagara IceDogs, Jan. 30 against the Kingston Frontenacs, Feb. 1 against the Ottawa 67's and March 22 against Niagara. A fifth game, Nov. 28 against the London Knights, will be shown on tape delay.

The Otters have one other A-rated prospect on the roster in center Dylan Strome, who is second behind McDavid in the OHL with 33 points (12 goals, 21 assists). Other A-rated prospects that NHL scouts will be watching closely in those games with Erie are Knights center Mitchell Marner, Frontenacs left wing Lawson Crouse and Ottawa center Travis Konecny.

In all NHL Network will broadcast 23 games involving teams from the OHL, Western Hockey League and Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.

The NHL Network will also provide coverage of the Memorial Cup, the championship tournament of the Canadian Hockey League, in May.

Among the other top 2015 draft prospects to be showcased on NHL Network are Portland Winterhawks left wing Paul Bittner and Kelowna Rockets center Nick Merkley, who will go head-to-head Nov. 21; goaltender Callum Booth of the Quebec Remparts, who play against the Drummondville Voltiguers (Feb. 8) and the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada (March 6); and Sarnia Sting center Pavel Zacha against the Kitchener Rangers (Dec. 12).
