At 17:23 of the first period in the Vancouver Canucks/Colorado Avalanche game, the Situation Room initiated a video review to further examine a play at the Colorado net. The original call by the referee closest to the Avalanche net was "no goal" but after the four on-ice officials huddled, the call on the ice was changed to "good goal." Video review supported the final on-ice decision. According to Rule 49.2 "A puck that deflects into the net off an attacking player's skate who does not use a distinct kicking motion is a legitimate goal." Good goal Vancouver.
