Devils' Tootoo placed on IR with foot injury

The New Jersey Devils announced Friday that forward Jordin Tootoo has been placed on injured reserve retroactive to Oct. 21 and is day-to-day.

Tootoo was injured in the second period of the Devils game against the New York Rangers on Oct. 21 when he was hit in the left foot by a shot by the Rangers' Dan Girardi, according to NJ.com.

In six games Tootoo has three shots on goal, a plus-1 rating and 13 penalty minutes.
