New York Islanders forward Anders Lee and defenseman Lubomir Visnovsky are expected to make their season debuts Thursday against the Boston Bruins at TD Garden.
Defenseman Travis Hamonic will miss the game with an upper-body injury.
The Islanders announced the news via their official Twitter account.
A spot opened for Lee on Wednesday when the team placed forward Mikhail Grabovski on injured reserve retroactive to Oct. 16 and placed forward Colin McDonald on waivers. Lee, 24, had three goals and five points in five games for the Bridgeport Sound Tigers in the American Hockey League this season. He had nine goals and 14 points in 22 games for the Islanders last season.
Visnovsky returns to the lineup after sitting out the opening six games with a back injury. He had three goals and 11 points in 24 games for the Islanders last season.
Hamonic, who is day-to-day, played 22:23 in a 5-2 loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs on Tuesday.
