Penguins recall Harrington, Ebbett from AHL

The Pittsburgh Penguins on Wednesday announced defenseman Scott Harrington and forward Andrew Ebbett had been recalled from the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the American Hockey League.

The Penguins host the Philadelphia Flyers on Wednesday (8 p.m. ET, NBCSN, TVA SPORTS2).

Harrington, a second-round pick (No. 54) in the 2011 NHL Draft, has a minus-1 rating in one AHL game this season; the 6-foot-2, 205-pound left-handed shooter had five goals and 24 points in 76 AHL games last season.

Ebbett had one assist in nine games with the Penguins last season. He has 65 points in 200 NHL games in parts of six seasons with the Anaheim Ducks, Chicago Blackhawks, Minnesota Wild, Arizona Coyotes, Vancouver Canucks and Penguins.
