Questions surround Blues, Sharks lineups
With the injury to Andy McDonald, it looks like Evgeny Grachev could grab the assignment of playing in his spot, between David Backes and Jamie Langenbrunner.

Jeremy Rutherford of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch is reporting Grachev and Chris Porter will be in the lineup tonight, but noted that Grachev displayed a bit of positive chemistry playing with Backes and Langenbrunner in the preseason.

The big lineup decision for the Sharks could be in net, where there's a chance Antti Niemi could make his season debut. Niemi hasn't played this season, but was the backup to Thomas Greiss in last night's 1-0 win against the Ducks.

"Nemo (Niemi) is available to us and we'll make a decision before the game," Sharks coach Todd McLellan told David Pollack of the San Jose Mercury News.

Quote of the Day

The groove of being behind a bench is going to be interesting at first, but thank God we have a few exhibition games to get rid of those cobwebs. Overall the excitement of it all and the freshness and coming back refreshed, all those things are going to be assets. If [the players] come ready to give their best effort in practice and games, good things are going to happen. I'm always looking for results. It's not always on the scoreboard. It's winning and building something.
