Flyers' Simmonds day-to-day with lower-body injury

Philadelphia Flyers right wing Wayne Simmonds sustained a lower-body injury in a victory against the New York Rangers on Wednesday and is day-to-day, according to the Flyers.

Simmonds scored his first two points of the preseason with a goal and an assist in a 4-2 victory at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia. The 26-year-old is entering his fourth season with the Flyers in 2014-15. He has 111 goals and 234 points in 449 games spanning six seasons, including his first three with the Los Angeles Kings.
