The Vancouver Canucks signed Radim Vrbata this offseason with the intent of playing him alongside Henrik Sedin and Daniel Sedin.
On Friday, it was time to start building chemistry.
"By the end hopefully we're on the same page, but you could see that if you get open for them and get a little space, they'll find you, so that will be my job to find open ice and be ready for passes," Vrbata said after the Canucks practiced for a little over an hour.
Vrbata has seen plenty of the Sedins, and vice versa, in a career spent mostly in the Western Conference. The four-time 20-goal scorer is being counted on to add punch to a team that ranked last in the conference and 28th in the NHL last season with 2.33 goals per game.
"He's such a good player; we watched him playing in Phoenix and we really like the way he plays the game," Daniel Sedin said.
